Lost Woods Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit rescue and state-licensed shelter for small animals located in Crystal Lake, Illinois.  With a mission to save animals and educate people about them, our all-volunteer staff are dedicated to making a big difference for small animals.
We rescue pets that are relinquished by their owners, abandoned and found as strays, or transferred from other shelters.  The pets are assessed by an exotics vet and treated as necessary, after which they may become adoptable.  Those who are not adoptable for medical/behavioral/other reasons can stay at Lost Woods for their lifetime.
