Ikura and Tobiko are a pair of male baby guinea pigs, born April 27th. Their mom Salmonberry was rescued from a hoarding situation where 60+ guinea pigs were rescued from one home, and many of the females were pregnant. They will be ready to go home after their pre-adoption exam May 20.
Caring for baby guinea pigs is similar to adults, they just need alfalfa hay in addition to grass hay until 6 months of age, and careful handling as babies are quick and wiggly.
